Appealing history lessons for the French youth of that era, in easy French and with nice, detailed illustrations. The sort of thing you would expect from Pierre Blanchard (1772-1856), who was not only a renown writer but an accomplished educator a well.
 
The book is in rather fine condition. The third edition seems to be rare; the first (1830) and second (1834) are far more easily found than this later edition.
